SFI® Program
Inconsistent Practices Reporting Protocol
WASHINGTON, DC The SFI® External Review Panel maintains a national Inconsistent Practices Reporting Protocol. The intent is to provide loggers and other interested persons with a venue to report -in confidence- perceived violations of the SFI Standard by participants in the SFI program.
Mr. Neil Sampson, Executive Secretary of the SFI External Review Panel, provides a confidential "firewall" between the report filer and all others. Following receipt of a complaint, Mr. Sampson will forward reports alleging an inconsistency with the SFI Standard with a request for investigation, review and action to the SFI participant company CEO or designated representative with informational copy to the SFI Manager of Field Operations. Mr. Sampson will request a written response from the SFI participant company CEO/designated representative within 30 days. He will notify the report filer and the SIC of any report outcome within 45 days of the report filing date. Finally, Mr. Sampson will provide a confidential and anonymous summation of the reports filed and recorded outcomes at the annual meeting of the SFI External Review Panel.
